Salisbury CND's Hiroshima Day Candle Float

Salisbury CND’s annual remembrance of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which we mark by floating candles and lanterns on the River Avon each year.

The event will be held on Wednesday, 6th August at 8.45pm, at Fisherton Street Bridge, SP1 2ND.

Do come and join us for this very special event.  We anticipate that our own lanterns will be joined by lanterns prepared by school students from Kyoso Junior High School in Hiroshima.  It should be a very moving occasion.
