“From this International Anti-War Conference we raise our united voices: against war and genocide, and the growing nuclear threat, and for peace.” 

That’s the opening line of the statement agreed at June’s fantastic International Conference Against War, which included an agreement on building for a series of international days of action and for the conference logo to be promoted.

We think our new graphic above does the trick on both counts. Please share it in your networks, StW groups, union branches and on social media accounts, and start organising for the key dates.

The top priority is booking coaches for the 10 October demo in London (route tbc), which will be part of a day of international demonstrations for Palestine.

Palestine remains the issue where British foreign policy is most vulnerable and where the government is most anxious about public opinion. We want to hear that StW groups are working to fill several coaches each!

Please also spread the word about our Youth Network rally on 8 September to build for the 20 November 10 October
– International day of demonstrations for Palestine.

 30 October
– International 20-22 November
– International weekend against militarism and conscription, starting with the Youth Strike on Friday 20 November.

Labour conference demo demands Palestine action from Burnham 

Andy Burnham’s “apology” over the Starmer regime’s position on Gaza was a tribute to the resilience of the mass Palestine solidarity movement.

But he failed to offer concrete action to end UK complicity with the Gaza genocide, or even to call it a genocide. And he didn’t address Israel’s violent settler occupation in the West Bank.

The Palestine Coalition issued a statement this week demanding real action by the Burnham government against Israel, one year after Britain’s recognition of a Palestinian State and nearly three years of genocide.

Which is why we are marching to Labour conference in Liverpool on 26 September to demand the PM takes urgent action to Stop Arming Israel and to impose immediate sanctions.

And that he ends the repression of ALL those protesting genocide, including the leaders of our movement.

Please do all you can to build for the march in Liverpool and let the office know if you’ve booked coaches.

UAE funds mercenary to carry out op against anti-war activist

It’s been revealed by ITV that Britain’s ally the UAE sent an Israeli mercenary to carry out an operation against Stop the War’s former vice-president Anas Altikriti. He was spied on, his movements were tracked and his life was threatened. 

We have called on the UK government to raise these revelations directly with the UAE and urgently seek guarantees from the regime about the safety of its citizens.
