We are planning a series of stunts involving a giant 20ft inflatable mushroom cloud, which we are having custom-made to raise awareness of the growing threat of nuclear war, but we need your help!

The risk of nuclear war is at the highest that it’s ever been. This is why, at the start of this year, CNDʼs activism of the 60s and 80s in order to raise awareness of these growing nuclear dangers.

The iconic image of the mushroom cloud is the one that best represents the horror and scale of devastation that can be caused by nuclear weapons.Imagine seeing a towering mushroom cloud in iconic city centres across Britain. This will create powerful images for the media, attract public attention and remind thousands of people of the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons.

Britain has now overtaken Russia to become the third biggest spender on nuclear weapons in the world. This is because it’s spending hundreds of billions on replacing its nuclear armed submarines. But on top of that, the government plans to purchase a new generation of nuclear-capable F-35 jets. It is time to call them out on this dangerous nuclear proliferation and build support for abolishing these weapons for good! With this new giant inflatable, we will be able to make a powerful statement that urges people to take nuclear threats seriously.
