OPPOSE THE IHRA - donate today

Posted: 9th July 2026

The government has recently used the IHRA definition of antisemitism to try and silence 76-year-old interfaith activist, Bea Foster, for her solidarity with Palestine.

That is why we are supporting the European Legal Support Centre (ELSC) to launch a landmark human rights case against the government – to challenge this and to defend all of our rights to campaign for Palestine.

This crucial case could cost us as much as £80,000 –  can you help us fund it?

Bea Foster has dedicated her life to fighting racism, building community cohesion, and standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people – which she is now being targeted for.

The government used the IHRA in a discriminatory way against Bea to pressure her out of the interfaith charity she founded. The ELSC’s legal case on behalf of Bea will challenge the IHRA’s compatibility with our human rights.

If Bea wins her case, it could set a positive precedent to show that the IHRA in and of itself is not fit for purpose and should not be used again. Will you be part of challenging the IHRA definition?

Watch Bea’s story here:

The case shows that the IHRA is not really an anti-racist tool as presented.Instead, it serves to delegitimise points of view critical of Israel, and those in support of Palestinian rights.

It is accompanied by examples which rely on the dangerous conflation of Judaism and Jewish people with the state of Israel. This makes it bad for the necessary fight against antisemitism and bad for our ability to stand up for Palestinian rights.

Cases like these are not cheap to bring and PSC is covering all the legal fees.

We don’t know exactly how much it will cost, but lawyers tell us it could be as much as £80,000. Any excess funds raised will go towards the rest of our campaigning work for the Palestinian people and against attempts to silence us.

Please donate what you can to help us cover our costs.

Support the case today to demand Bea Foster is reinstated, to oppose the IHRA, and to send a clear message to the government that we will never be silenced in our support for Palestine.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

In solidarity,
