New campaign – Delete Genocide Tech, focused on tech companies complicit in Israel's genocide and apartheid.

Today, we’re launching a new campaign – Delete Genocide Tech, focused on tech companies complicit in Israel’s genocide and apartheid.

We’re demanding an end to all contracts held by the British government, councils and universities with Cisco Systems, Oracle and Palantir. These corporations are supplying technology used by Israel to commit genocide and impose apartheid. They should not receive a penny of public money.

Cisco Systems, Palantir and Oracle are providing Israel with technology used to monitor and target Palestinians. 

Palestinians face constant intrusive surveillance by Israel, using advanced technology systems that collect detailed information on every aspect of their lives. This includes through biometric cameras, drones and observation by soldiers. Israel uses the sensitive information it is collecting to develop databases profiling Palestinians.  

These databases are used to target Palestinians for arbitrary arrest and detention in Israel’s prisons, where they face systematic torture, and to restrict their movement through military checkpoints.  

Moreover, as part of its genocide in Gaza, Israel has been using artificial intelligence to rapidly generate targets for its bombing campaigns, accelerating its mass destruction of neighbourhoods, schools and hospitals.  

Palestinians, facing down Israel’s high-tech apartheid regime, ask us to take action against the corporations that supply the technology that makes it possible. Their research has identified these companies as complicit in Israel’s crimes, and ours has revealed that the same companies have a presence in British institutions.

Responding to the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, we’ve developed the Delete Genocide Tech campaign to put our solidarity into action. A crucial way we can do this is by campaigning for contracts with Cisco, Oracle and Palantir to be ended.

Our campaigning against these contracts is already having an impact. Just last month, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan stopped a £50million Met Police contract with Palantir after pressure from PSC members and supporters. 

Now, we’re taking action to end other lucrative contracts held by the government, local councils and universities with Cisco, Oracle and Palantir.
