The anti-war conference on Saturday 20 June is set to be the largest such event this country has seen in decades.
There will be speakers from Europe and beyond: Italian dockers who stopped arms being shipped to Palestine, German school students who struck against conscription, hundreds of French teachers fighting the militarisation of the curriculum, Spanish trade unionists who have protested against war, and Palestinian, Russian & Ukrainian anti-war activists. We will all be meeting to plan continent-wide action.
The conference is being held in London’s iconic Central Hall Westminster, where the United Nations was founded. It has been backed by ten national UK trade unions and over 100 local union branches. Make sure to be there on this historic day.
Speakers announced so far

Dr Mustafa Barghouti is coming from Palestine to attend and speak at the conference. He will be joined by José Nivoi, the leader of the Genoa dockers who refused to load arms on ships bound for Israel. Medea Benjamin, US co-founder of Code Pink, will be travelling from America to speak and stand with us against Trump’s wars. Tariq Ali, StW patron and lifelong anti-war campaigner, will be taking part alongside leading activists, MPs and TU leaders from across Europe. Watch this space for further announcements.
The list of supporters for the conference keeps growing. Check if your union or organisation is one of this number. If not, you know what to do.
Organising a conference on this scale is expensive.
We urgently need to raise funds to help pay for venue hire, translation costs, speakers’ travel and expenses and publicity.
