Can you help CND by volunteering to steward at the upcoming ‘stop bombing Iran’ demonstration in London on Saturday, 21 March? We need volunteers to help ensure the safe running of the protest as well as fundraising to help cover the associated costs such as placards, sound system hire, and staging. If you are unable to steward but are still intending to protest, assembly time is from 12 noon at Russell Square. After the march there will be a rally at Whitehall. Other protests and actions against the war are taking place across the country as part of a national day of action. Find one near you RAF Fairford, a naming of the dead action will take place at the main gate of the base on Saturday from 12:30pm-1:30pm, to mark the deaths of over 170 people, mostly children, in a US airstrike on a girl’s school in southern Iran at the start of the illegal bombing campaign. People are encouraged to bring children’s backpacks, flags, and banners as part of the protest.
