Britain Palestine Project News

Posted: 19th March 2026

We wanted to share a few updates from the Britain Palestine Project as we move through Ramadan and prepare for some important events in the months ahead.

We’ve moved our social media
As many of you know, the online space has changed significantly over the past year. After careful consideration, we have decided to leave X as it no longer aligns with our values or the kind of public conversation we want to support.

You can now find us on Bluesky and Upscrolled (Palestinian founded), where we will continue sharing research, events, and commentary. We would love for you to join us there and help grow these communities.

New publication: Conference Proceedings & Policy Positions 2025
As we prepare for our upcoming conference on 2 June 2026 at King’s College London, we are delighted to publish Conference Proceedings & Policy Positions 2025, a summary of the discussions and recommendations that emerged from last year’s conference.

The publication brings together key contributions from policymakers, academics, diplomats and civil society voices who participated in the event, outlining the policy ideas and debates shaping the conversation around Israel-Palestine today.

It is available now in physical copy and on Kindle, and we hope it will serve as a useful resource for anyone interested in evidence-based discussion and policy thinking in this field.

Our 2026 conference – “Recognition is the Beginning” – on 2 June will build on these conversations, bringing together leading voices from academia, diplomacy, law and civil society to examine the next steps towards a just and sustainable peace.

We look forward to sharing more details about speakers and the programme soon.
Ramadan Appeal update
Our Ramadan Appeal is going well, and we are grateful for the generosity and encouragement we have received so far. We are especially pleased to have the support of comedian Imran Yusuf, who has recorded a short video in support of the appeal. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch and share it on our social media channels.
Ramadan Appeal – Why Comedian Imran Yusuf Supports the Britain Palestine ProjectVolunteer in Palestine – deadline extended
For those considering volunteering as a human rights monitor, the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) has extended its application deadline to 23 March.

Ecumenical Accompaniers spend three months in the West Bank, accompanying communities, witnessing life under occupation, and helping ensure that human rights abuses are documented. When they return home, they play an important role in educating communities and advocating for change.

If this is something you have been considering, there is still time to apply.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Britain Palestine Project
