Help us resist the preparations for war

At the Munich Security Council this weekend the clouds of war were once again gathering over Europe. The conference moto is ‘under destruction’ and all talk is of war-readiness. 

Macron and Merz discussed European nuclear missiles, and spending on arms was massively promoted. Is it any wonder almost half the population the UK believe WW3 is ‘likely’ or ‘very likely’ to break out in the next five years?

We must stand up to this madness before it is too late. Across the continent anti-war movements are taking action. For us to play the critical role that is required in the UK we need to build our resources, and that requires your help.

This drive to war is costing billions of pounds, euros and dollars, paid for from the pockets of working people. We are told to prepare to sacrifice our children and are warned that conscription, already present in a growing number of EU countries, may be introduced here as soon as 2031. It’s urgent we stand up against this push towards militarism and global conflict. To do so we need your help.

• oppose massive increases in military spending,
• resist moves towards conscription,
• organise public meetings,
• host the International Peace conference,
• build more groups around the country,
• produce educational materials and pamphlets,
• campaign against Islamophobia and the rise of the far-right.
