The International Armoured Vehicles (IAV) arms fair will take place in Farnborough

Later this week, the International Armoured Vehicles (IAV) arms fair will take place in Farnborough. The event will be attended by representatives of dozens of arms companies providing Israel with weaponry used to kill and maim Palestinians.  

Arms fairs like this one are crucial to the UK-Israel arms trade. They must be opposed.  

Sign our petition to demand that the British government cancels the event as part of imposing a full arms embargo on Israel.

Arms fairs like IAV provide a marketing opportunity for companies producing weapons used to kill and maim Palestinians.

For example, the “lead partner” of the event is a subsidiary of General Dynamics, a US arms company which produces a range of weaponry used by Israel in its crimes against Palestinians, including armoured tanks and components for fighter jets and bombs.

Israel uses armoured vehicles, like those that will be exhibited in Farnborough, to destroy Palestinian homes, schools and infrastructure, both in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Senior members of the Israeli military have attended previous International Armoured Vehicles arms fairs. Those responsible for committing genocide, and imposing apartheid, should not be welcomed to Britain to make deals with arms companies. Instead, they should be facing justice at international courts.

The British government must cancel the upcoming International Armoured Vehicles arms fair, as part of imposing a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel.

The British government is under a legal obligation to take all measures available to it to stop Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, and end assistance to its unlawful military occupation and regime of apartheid.  

This includes cancelling events like the IAV arms fair, as part of stopping the flow of weapons from Britain to Israel.
