Around 40 people gathered outside Salisbury Library for this, our 111th Peace Vigil. We were united by a desire to see a just peace in the Middle East. The fragile first phase of the ceasefire is coming to an end and we note the continued deaths and lack of adequate humanitarian aid in Gaza. It is essential that as the second phase of the ceasefire is put in place, the killing stops, the aid flows unimpeded, and the rights of the Palestinians and the Israelis are both represented in a balanced way within the negotiations for a lasting and stable peace.
