Today, we occupied a Barclays branch in central London to demand that the bank stops enabling Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and wider regime of military occupation and apartheid against Palestinians. Watch and share our video below.
Tomorrow, PSC branches are protesting at dozens of Barclays locations across Britain, making sure that Barclays continues to feel the pressure from our movement in 2026.

Barclays has a direct agreement with Israel to act as a ‘primary dealer’ for its government bonds. This means it helps Israel raise money on international markets in order to fund the cost of its atrocities against Palestinians.
The bank also provides £8.1 billion of investments and loans to arms companies supplying Israel with the arsenal of weaponry it uses to kill and maim Palestinians.
Last year, our campaigning put Barclays under substantial pressure. Over 1,500 people committed to shut their Barclays (or Barclays-owned Tesco Bank) accounts on our mass account closure days, and we disrupted business-as-usual for the bank through regular protests and sit-ins.
But Barclays shamefully refuses to end its grave complicity in Israel’s atrocities, so we must ramp up the pressure in 2026.

Find your local actionIsrael’s genocide in Gaza continues. 450 Palestinians have been killed by Israel in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire was supposed to come into effect. In the West Bank, Israel is escalating its military invasions of towns and refugee camps, and continues to ethnically cleanse Palestinians to make way for its expanding illegal settlements.
As Palestinians resist this violence, they ask us to take action against the corporations, like Barclays, that help Israel maintain its apartheid regime.
