The Britain Palestine Project has made the decision to leave X

Posted: 5th December 2025

After much discussion, the Britain Palestine Project has made the decision to leave X (formerly Twitter).

We had been debating this step for some time, as it became increasingly clear that Elon Musk’s views are profoundly misaligned with our values. However, his recent video contribution to the Unite the Kingdom march has made our decision unavoidable.

That event featured known far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose record of inciting hatred and division is completely at odds with everything we stand for as people who support equal rights and freedom for all.

Musk’s message at the rally contained dangerous and inflammatory language, declaring at one point, ‘Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die.’

This language is abhorrent to us. It is unacceptable.

We cannot in good conscience continue to use a platform whose owner promotes such discord.

You can still find us and follow our work on:

We constantly review the products and services we use to ensure they align with our ethos. This is something we take very seriously.

We apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause, but we hope you will understand why we feel it is necessary.

With best wishes,
Brian
