    Moscow is ready to stop its further offensive in Ukraine if the Western allies meet Russia’s security demands, the correspondent of the Hungarian Peace Circle has learned.

    The announcement was made during the meeting that the Russian envoys are having with the Americans on ending the conflict in Ukraine in Abu Dhabi.

      US President Trump called Moscow’s announcement a “major concession” on Russia’s part and said it was “a step towards resolving the conflict”.

Steven Witkoff, the US president’s special envoy, will travel to Moscow next week, and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will probably travel with him to negotiate with Russian President Putin, Trump said.

      Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the US peace plan for Ukraine “substantive” and said it “can provide a very good basis for talks.”

    NATO’s European powers oppose the American peace plan. Some Western European leaders describe the American peace plan as a betrayal of Western interests coinciding with Ukrainian ones. Josep Borrell, the former High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union suggested on Tuesday that Europeans should no longer consider the United States as their ally because Trump wants to come to an agreement with the Russians, reported the correspondent of the Hungarian Community for Peace.+
