We are honoured to share a powerful new series of short films by broadcaster Mike Joseph, featuring Gaza journalist Sami Abu Salem – a voice of extraordinary courage and humanity.

Since before 7 October 2023, Sami Abu Salem has been reporting from Gaza, sharing his world.

His work, his family, his dreams. Now, after surviving two years of genocide, Sami reflects on what remains and what endures. He speaks of great and small things: his continuing belief in coexistence, his love and care for his 90-year-old mother, and his hope that humanity can still be rebuilt among the ruins.

Through these five short interviews, Sami’s voice – calm, eloquent, and deeply humane – cuts through the noise and despair to remind us of what must not be lost.

This is a series about survival, dignity, and the stubborn persistence of humanity.
