Stop British Nuclear Expansion – CND national conference

Saturday 22 November 10am to 5pm

The Green House, 244 – 254 Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9DA

As we discussed at the Policy Conference, the British government has significantly increased its military spending and announced a major expansion of its nuclear weapons programme with plans to purchase 12 nuclear-capable F-35A jets. This gives Britain the ability to launch nuclear weapons from sky and sea for the first time since the end of the Cold War. Rather than making us safer, this expansion increases nuclear dangers while making us all poorer as public services are slashed to fund military spending hikes.

Building a broad campaign is vital to opposing the growth in militarism in Britain and across the world. That’s why we’re organising a national conference in London on 22 November to bring together peace and anti-nuclear campaigners, climate and global justice activists, trade unionists and students to examine how we can build a coalition against the government’s decision to make Britain ‘war ready.’

Make sure you join us and get involved in helping to build this vital campaign. There will plenty of opportunity for discussion with workshops and practical sessions on how to organise in your communities. More information on speakers and workshops to follow soon!

Register here today!

All best wishes from the conference team.
