As if further proof was needed that we might never solve the radioactive waste problem, and therefore should immediately stop making more of it, the latest dump scheme has been abandoned. 

A hard won victory for justice

It took a broad coalition, including Indigenous, environmental and anti-nuclear groups, along with expert legal advocacy (pictured) to apply constant pressure against Holtec’s plans to dump high-level radioactive waste at an interim storage site in New Mexico, writes Beyond Nuclear’s Kevin Kamps.
