Sizewell C, fuel

Sizewell C has signed contracts for enriched uranium services and nuclear

fuel fabrication. The scheme marks a significant step in boosting the
UK’s energy security. Over its lifetime, Sizewell C is expected to
deliver 90% of its value to UK businesses. The supply contract with Urenco
will cover the first six years of the 3.2GW power station’s operation and
is expected to support around 1,000 existing jobs at Urenco’s Capenhurst
site. Julia Pyke and Nigel Cann, joint managing directors at Sizewell C,
said: “These two contracts represent a major moment for Sizewell C and for
energy security in the UK.
