On Saturday 11 October we march again to call on our government to stop arming a genocide. It will mark two years of relentless bombing, siege, and collective punishment. Two years in which the world has watched, while the people of Gaza endure the unendurable.
Just this week, Israeli airstrikes once again hit Gaza City targeting children, near the al-Rum School. The attacks come even as peace talks hang by a thread — jeopardising any hope of a ceasefire or lasting peace.
UNRWA has today laid bare the scale of destruction: 80% of structures across Gaza damaged or destroyed; 790 attacks on health workers and medical sites; 98% of cropland damaged or inaccessible; 90% of water and sanitation systems destroyed.
These are not statistics. They are lives, families, dreams – a generation being erased before our eyes.
That’s why we’re joining thousands of others this Saturday 11 October for a national demonstration in London, demanding:
Now more than ever, the world needs to see that the call for peace, justice, and human rights for Palestinians has not been silenced.
