Appeal from Stop the War

Once again, we showed great strength in numbers with a 300000 strong march yesterday despite the establishment’s efforts to clamp down on protestors. A delegation from the march also joined the Defend our Juries protest in Parliament Square where over 400 people were arrested for peacefully protesting against genocide.

We are a month away from the second anniversary of this devastating war. Although the situation seems to be getting worse in Gaza with the UN now declaring famine, the movement here in the UK has done a tremendous job in bringing people together for the Palestinian cause and putting enormous pressure on the government to change its policy. But we still have a long fight ahead of us and that’s where you come in. 

This month we have several major events coming up including the protest against Tump’s visit and a national demonstration in Liverpool at the Labour Party conference opposing their catastrophic policies on Palestine, immigrants and working people. We are also prepping for the national demonstration for Palestine in October which will sadly mark the two year anniversary of this ghastly genocide that has done irreversible damage to the Palestinian people and their land. 

All of these events require massive amounts of collective effort and money. Our work has never been more critical and we need your support to keep going.
