Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament

Thank you so much to all those who attended our Parliamentary CND event on Wednesday entitled, ‘No More Hiroshimas: The Human Cost of Nuclear War and How to Build a Nuclear-Free Future’. It was standing room only, for this very powerful and urgent meeting to raise awareness of the human cost of nuclear war. We were incredibly honoured to hear the powerful and eloquent testimony of Kyoko Gibson, a second generation Hibakusha which set the political and emotional context for the meeting.

Along with MPs Bell Ribeiro-Addy and Liz Saville-Roberts and Labour Party National Executive Member Jess Barnard, we were absolutely delighted to also hear from The High Commissioner of South Africa, His Excellency Jeremiah Nyamane Mamabolo.

The message that came loud and clear from the meeting is that we have to do everything possible to ensure that the horrific war crimes of the US bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki never happen again. So, we must halt the rapid rise in nuclear dangers that threatens people and planet.

Please help us reach as wide an audience as possible with these messages by sharing the posts from CND’s FacebookInstagramBlueskyX/Twitter, and Threads accounts.

Full speeches will be uploaded to our YouTube next week and will be availble here.
