Fears - and protests - are growing after the US bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities in support of Israel’s latest attacks there, writes Linda Pentz Gunter. Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactor also remains at risk.
Nuclear peril grows
Fears are mounting about a new war in the Middle East, this time involving a nuclear-armed Israel and especially after the US attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities. Beyond the US-Israel public rationale to destroy Iran’s civil nuclear program in order to pre-empt nuclear weapons development there, Iranians also believe it is another attempt at regime change.
