Palesine Solidarity Campaign report from Saturday's march

Posted: 19th May 2025

Yesterday over 500,000 of us marched in London to commemorate 77 years of the ongoing Nakba and to demand an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Together we can end British complicity in these crimes and support the Palestinian people in their struggle to end the Nakba once and for all. Can you support us with a donation?

Yesterday’s demonstration was historic. In one of the biggest marches this country has seen since the demonstrations against the Iraq war, people from all over the world came together to protest against the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their land.

After 18 months of being failed by our politicians, failed by our media, and failed by our institutions, the people of conscience in this country still refuse to be silenced.

Each one of these demonstrations costs us tens of thousands of pounds to pull off, and we have not yet managed to cover the cost of yesterday’s march.

Can you help us?

Yes, I can help

The need to end the Nakba could not be more pressing. In the past 24 hours alone Israel has killed over 125 Palestinians. All public hospitals in northern Gaza are now out of service. And millions are at risk of starvation.

The Israeli government, supported by Trump, now openly admits that this slaughter is part of their plans to expel Palestinians from their homes and ethnically cleanse Gaza.

Israel would not be able to get away with this without international support, including from the British government. Together we are building a mass movement to end British complicity and fight back against Israel’s ethnic cleansing. Peter, will you be a part of it?

Yes, I will

After 77 years of ethnic cleansing, occupation and apartheid it can sometimes feel that we are powerless to end the suffering of the Palestinian people. But we all have the power to take action to end Britain’s complicity.

Yesterday over 70% of members of the Co-Op, the second largest supermarket chain the UK, voted to stop selling Israeli products. Meanwhile ten local councils have now committed, at least in part, to divest their pension schemes from hundreds of millions of pounds of complicit investments.

Can you help us win more of these victories for the Palestinian people?

The road to liberation is still long and rocky. But the community of resistance we are building is helping to pave it.

Thank you for your support.
