Elon Musk and his so-called Department of Government Efficiency took a chainsaw to huge swaths of the federal government and ransacked massive amounts of our sensitive personal data — all while operating behind closed doors, hidden from public view.
So we sued under the Freedom of Information Act to expose the truth about DOGE, hold Musk accountable, and find out what laws may have been broken.
But the Trump administration just filed a motion to dismiss our lawsuit, claiming that DOGE is immune from the Freedom of Information Act.
It’s absurd, and we’re not backing down. However, we’re counting on the ongoing financial support of our readers to see this fight through.

Elon Musk spent nearly $300 million to install Donald Trump in the White House and then gutted virtually every part of the federal government that does anything to help everyday people.
As a result, we’re already seeing massive delays at airports, vital medical research studies canceled, longer waits at Veterans Affairs hospitals, extended hold times at Social Security offices, and lifesaving malaria and HIV programs shut down.
Meanwhile, one thing DOGE didn’t cut was the billions of dollars’ worth of federal contracts for SpaceX, Musk’s space technology firm.
The potential for corruption and self-dealing is virtually unlimited, and that’s why we’re fighting so hard to bring DOGE’s operations into the light of day.
The government’s core argument is that DOGE is immune from the Freedom of Information Act because, according to the filing, it’s merely an advisory body with no “substantial authority to act independently.”
These claims just don’t square with the facts, and we’re not about to give in — but we need an influx of funding to ensure we have the resources to keep fighting and get to the truth.
