CND has big plans for 2025, and we're going to need your help

Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament

Recently, CND’s generous supporters helped us raise enough money towards a legal challenge that has uncovered shocking evidence that US military bases across Britain are exempt from UK emergency radiation regulations. With this evidence, we have been able to secure exclusive coverage by The Mirror – making sure even more people are aware of the dangers of nuclear weapons!

CND has its work cut out. Here is what we have planned:

  • We will be sending a delegation to Japan to participate in the international anniversary events in Hiroshima and Nagasaki this year.
  • We also hope to secure a UK visit from a Japanese Atomic Bomb Survivor (Hibakusha) so that people can hear first-hand the horrors of nuclear war.
  • We are organising a national tour of Britain’s bases to put the spotlight on the nuclear dangers on our doorsteps, and to help build regional and local support for nuclear disarmament.
  • In parliament, we are working flat out to secure action from MPs against the military spending increases and to expose the nuclear secrecy surrounding US nuclear weapons being deployed in Britain
  • We will continue lobbying MPs to call for the scrapping of Britain’s nuclear weapons system and exposing the out-of-control costs which are draining our public finances.
  • We’re investing in creating more high-quality, accessible social media content, such as videos, to help us engage with a new generation of supporters who are increasingly concerned about the rising risk of nuclear war.
  • We’re also developing more support to help local groups find new ways to reach new supporters.

We all know the big challenges we face. But with your help, together, we can meet these global challenges and secure the peaceful, sustainable, nuclear-free future the world so desperately needs.

Please help us and make a donation of any size, if you can.

In peace,

Sophie Bolt
General Secretary
