It’s day four of the peace camp at RAF Lakenheath, organised by Lakenheath Alliance for Peace, which is keeping the pressure on the British government to refuse US nukes coming to Britain and to end its complicity in Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.
Watch veteran peace activist, Angie Zelta, challenging police to investigate the real criminals guilty of war crimes.
With global dangers rising even higher following Trump’s election, Britain’s military support in US wars makes us a target. Here are three things you can do to help build opposition to US nukes!
1. Live near Norfolk or Suffolk? Lobby your MP to challenge nuclear dangers!
CND’s legal challenge has exposed the government’s shocking nuclear cover-up about RAF Lakenheath, which puts local residents at even greater risk from nuclear accidents. If you live in Suffolk and Norfolk, join CND supporters lobbying their MPs to speak out against these nuclear dangers.
2. Join the protest against US nukes – Saturday 26 April
The two-week peace camp culminates in a Blockade of the base on Saturday 26 April.
Whether you’re new to campaigning or been involved in base actions for decades, there is a place for everyone at the protest on Saturday 26 April. Bring banners, whistles and drums. We’ll be making a big splash!

3. Join international debate against nuclear expansionism – Thursday 24 April
Another big highlight includes the International Peace Conference on Thursday 24 April challenging the expansion of nuclear weapons. The conference couldn’t come at a more critical time. With Donald Trump ramping up tensions across the world, Britain’s so-called ‘special relationship’ is rightly under scrutiny.
Speakers include retired colonel and former US diplomat Ann Wright, Jeju island campaigner Sung-Hee Choi, Japanese peace campaigner Koichi Toyoshima and Demetrios Hadjidemetirou from Cyprus.
