CND Demo outside the BAE Shipyard, Barrow-in-Furness

The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and activists from across the country will protest outside the BAE Shipyard, Barrow-in-Furness, calling on the government to invest in peace instead of Britain’s failing nuclear weapons programme. The demonstration takes place ahead of next week’s Spring Budget, where it’s expected the government will add billions of pounds to the military budget while making brutal cuts to overseas aid, and services helping some of the country’s most vulnerable people.
