Road improvements - USAF Croughton and USAF Barford St John

Oxfordshire County Council is expected to approve spending  £1.3m on a project to improve safety and roads near USAF Croughton and USAF Barford St John.

The work was commissioned after motor cyclist Harry Dunn was killed by a US citizen driving on the wrong side of the road near USAF Croughton in August 2019.

Local peace campaigners – Oxfordshire Peace Campaign – monitor these bases and have a rally at USAF Croughton each October to mark “Keep Space for Peace “ week.
