Can you donate to CND's Winter Appeal?

Forgive me for writing again to ask if you can donate to our Winter Appeal – but we are determined to help stop a new nuclear arms race.
 
A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated. We’re over halfway to achieving our target of £31,000 but we still need to raise around £10,000 more for essential core campaigning costs.

The wars in Ukraine and Gaza have raised global tensions to the highest they have been for decades. Nuclear posturing and the escalation of the risk of nuclear use are becoming ever more commonplace.

Meanwhile, the UK government is pressing ahead with its own plans to increase its arsenal of death-dealing nuclear warheads, despite the country being at breaking point after years of underfunding of public services.

A new nuclear arms race is underway, and we must oppose the warmongers responsible.

This means staging mass demonstrations and protests, lobbying politicians, engaging with the public, and broadcasting our message of peace as widely as possible, using all the tools we can.

I know that Christmas is a busy and expensive time of year, but any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference to our ability to push for peace and oppose the new nuclear arms race that’s currently underway.
