NIS update: August 2022

John Ainslie’s Archives

John Ainslie was an internationally respected nuclear weapons researcher, author and campaigner with Scottish CND. He collected a large archive of documents, reports, press cuttings, declassified memos and correspondence which contains many items of interest to researchers today. Thanks to funding received we have been busy scanning and uploading the archive to our website library – It’s a work in progress but you can already search over 1000 documents dating from the Cold War period up to recent times.  Read more
