Protest for Palestine
President Trump boasted of bringing peace to Gaza, but the strip is still under attack, children killed and humanitarian access denied. Our government is under pressure for its stance on Palestine, not least from the millions of us who have protested on the streets, week in week out, over these three years. Ministers have now made some concessions but these are not enough. We must escalate the pressure and demand they go further and finally put an end to British support for Israel’s genocide.
Tomorrow, Saturday 26 September at 12pm we are marching for Palestine in Liverpool on the &&”>eve of &&”>the&&”> &&”>Labour Party conference Burnham’s first as prime minister.
And on 10 October the next national march will take place in London marking the three year anniversary of the genocide and coinciding with the international day for Palestine. Make sure you join us.
We need to ensure the protest is massive. Get organising. Book your transport. Bring your union banners to the union bloc at Cleopatra’s Needle.

International Anti-War Movement on tour

No to war on Yemen
Trump’s disastrous war with Iran may have moved the focus away from Gaza and Palestine – but these wars are connected. As the US tries to maintain its hold on the Middle East it has brought chaos to the entire region.
As President Trump threatens to annihilate Iran, Saudi Arabia resumed its war with Yemen, and Andy Burnham agreed to offer the Saudi’s military support.
John Rees said, ”The effect of a prolonged Saudi conflict with the Houthis would be devastating, not least for the Saudis. The whole Saudi economic strategy of getting out of the oil producer monoculture by developing inward investment and tourism is, literally, going up in smoke as the Houthis hit a oil depot at Riyad’s international airport.
“For the world economy it’s even more serious.”
These wars cause untold suffering for those on the receiving end of missiles and bombs, and as two major shipping routes are now either closed or seriously curtailed, we all pay the price.
