In this important and deeply informative conversation, Dr Anne Irfan traces the history of Palestinian displacement from the Nakba of 1948 to the present day.

Anne explores how the Nakba should be understood not only through the original mass displacement of Palestinians, but through the subsequent denial of return and repeated displacement of Palestinian communities. She looks at the central role refugee camps have played in Palestinian politics, resistance and sumud (steadfastness), and explains why Gaza occupies such a significant place within this history.
