HELP EXPOSE THE GROWING THREAT OF NUCLEAR WAR

Planning is underway for our series of stunts involving a giant 20ft inflatable mushroom cloud, which we are having custom-made to raise awareness of the growing threat of nuclear war!

We’ve already raised over £9,500 towards the costs of this campaign, which means that the production of this giant inflatable has now begun! 

We launched this campaign, because at the start of this year the scientists responsible for the Doomsday Clock set it at 85 seconds to midnight. This means that the threat of nuclear war is at the highest that it has ever been. 

The iconic image of the mushroom cloud is the one that best represents the horror and scale of devastation that can be caused by nuclear weapons. Imagine seeing a towering mushroom cloud in famous city centres across Britain. This will create powerful images for the media, attract public attention and remind thousands of people of the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons.

Andy Burnham, the new Prime Minister, has decided to go ahead with plans to waste billions of pounds on nuclear weapons. Far from keeping us safer, this only further increases the threat of nuclear war. This money should instead by spent on hospitals, schools and climate adaptation. With our new giant inflatable, we will be able to make a powerful statement against dangerous nuclear proliferation and in favour of change in direction!
