Irene Gill (née Zuntz) to speak about her childhood experiences as a refugee fleeing Nazi Germany

Event Date: 10th November 2022
Location: Michael Dummett lecture theatre in Christ Church College, Oxford 8pm

This coming Tuesday (November 10) marks the 84th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the night the Nazis smashed the windows in hundreds of Jewish houses and shops, leaving broken glass shining like crystal in the streets of Berlin and other German cities. To mark the event, the Oxford University Jewish Society has kindly invited my mother, Irene Gill (née Zuntz) to speak to them about her childhood experiences as a refugee fleeing Nazi Germany, as documented in her recently published book, How to Be a Refugee: Life Lessons Learned by One who Escaped the Holocaust. The meeting starts at 8pm at the Michael Dummett lecture theatre in Christ Church College, Oxford. All are welcome, I believe. Please share this message with your friends, especially if any of them live in the Oxford area.
