Before then, write to the Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and Defence Secretary Wes Streeting, to demand they act to shut down Elbit Systems.

Write to the government

The government continues to allow Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms manufacturer, to operate factories and other facilities in Britain. These sites produce weapons components which are exported to Israel, and produce goods sold to the British military, generating profits that fund the production of more weapons for Israel.

As a result of our mass pressure, the government has committed not to export arms to Israel that could be used to impose its illegal military occupation. But despite this commitment, not a single arms export license has been suspended since the announcement.

We must continue to ramp up the pressure for a full arms embargo on Israel, and for Elbit Systems’ operations in Britain to be shut down. Join our protests on 21 October.

Write to the government

The government has recognised Israel’s military occupation as illegal, and committed to take action against companies that enable it. If the government means what it says, it must shut down the operations of Elbit Systems, which is producing a significant amount of the weaponry used by Israel to maintain its occupation.

Join the protests in Bristol and Shenstone on Wednesday 21 October, and demand a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel and the closure of all Elbit Systems sites in Britain.
