Event Date: 24th June 2026
Location: Online 6pm

Don’t miss our important webinar on ‘Palestine, health work and solidarity’ this Wednesday 24 June at 6pm.
We’ve organised this webinar with Health Workers 4 Palestine to support health workers speaking up for Palestine, and in response to the increased attempts by the government and employers to repress them when they do. We will be joined by Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah, Kim Johnson MP and more.
Dr. Abu-Sittah – whose heroic work you may have heard about – has been targeted by anti-Palestinian groups and smeared over his principled work in defence of the Palestinian people. On top of that, Britain’s medical regulator, the General Medical Council (GMC), is trying to stop him from practicing medicine in Britain.
Join us to hear about the egregious case against him and what we can do to push back against these attacks.
Dr. Abu-Sittah is a British-Palestinian reconstructive surgeon who has spent more than three decades treating patients in Palestine, Lebanon and beyond.
He has been a first-hand witness to Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people, including its targeted destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system which UN experts have called ‘medicide.’ He has been a strong and clear voice reporting on the impact of Israel’s horrific crimes against his people. That is why he is being targeted.
Join us on Wednesday at 6pm for our webinar to hear about the outrageous attempts to try and silence Palestinians like Dr. Abu-Sittah and the practical steps we can all take to support him and the principles he stands for.
Then, on Friday 3 July at 4pm we will be taking part in Health Workers 4 Palestine’s demonstration outside the GMC’s offices in London (350 Euston Road, NW1 3AW) to stand in solidarity with Dr. Abu-Sittah – be there if you can!
We know the best way to resist repression is to keep on campaigning, which we will continue to do as we demand justice and freedom for the Palestinian people.
In solidarity,
Celie
