CND webinar: Stopping Trump’s global war and new nuclear dangers

The attacks on Venezuela mark a serious acceleration in Trump’s global war for dominance. This is starkly laid out in the US National Security Strategy, which argues that the US needs to restore its “pre-eminence” in the world, with the “most robust, credible and modern nuclear deterrent”.

The British government is actively supporting Trump’s war drive, ramping up military spending and purchasing nuclear capable F-35A fighter jets to expand its own nuclear capability. This only ties Britain even closer to Trump’s reckless leadership.

These jets will be based at RAF Marham in Norfolk and form part of Starmer’s drive to be “war-ready” in a NATO war. CND is holding a webinar on Thursday 29 January called ‘Stopping Trump’s global war and new nuclear dangers’,where we will discuss Britain’s nuclear expansion in the context of Trump’s escalating military aggression, and how we can build the movement – globally and nationally – against it.
