Last week, we wrote to you about the eight imprisoned activists currently on hunger strike, in protest over the repressive and inhumane conditions of their detention in British prisons. Some have now been on hunger strike for 46 days. Multiple of them have been hospitalised, and their health is deteriorating rapidly. They need urgent intervention.
Today we’re protesting outside the Ministry of Justice in London, demanding that the government listen to their demands and take action.

StellaThe hunger strikers, along with 24 others, are facing trial for allegedly taking action to prevent arms manufacturers from shipping weapons to Israel, used in its genocide against the Palestinian people.
They are being held on remand, some of them for up to two years, without having been convicted of any crime; their communications with family and friends have been censored; and their right to a fair trial is being restricted, with some of the documents relevant to their defence withheld from them and their lawyers.
These conditions are completely unacceptable, and a violation of their basic human rights, which should be guaranteed in a democracy.
Join us tonight at 6pm outside Downing Street to echo their demands to the government.
Over 70,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocide, including over 20,000 children. Nearly 400 have been killed since the start of the so-called ceasefire.
It is the perpetrators of that genocide, and the British politicians and companies arming them, who should be facing trial. Instead, the government has cracked down on those protesting against genocide and is now denying the rights of those who are imprisoned awaiting trial.
Join us at Downing Street at 6pm tonight.
In solidarity,
Stella
