The people of Europe say no to war

Event Date: 20th June 2026
Location: Westminster Central Hall, London

June 20, 2026 – The people of Europe say no to war

After the success of the mass rally in Paris in October we have begun organising the follow-up event, due to take place in London on Saturday 20 June 2026.

The Paris conference was the first big step in coordinating the international anti-war movement. London will take this movement forward. We hope to be joined by trade union delegations from branches up and down the country – so get organising now.

We are asking all activists to save the date and begin organising delegations. Saturday 20 June at London’s Westminster Central Hall. Tickets will be available in the new year.

Stop the War Coalition

On June 20 this year London will be hosting a major European conference against militarism and the drive to war. Tickets are now available as the call for the conference is launched in English, French, Italian, and German.

The call begins:

‘The wolf is at the door. We know the face of war after the genocide in Palestine, watched live by millions who abhorred the complicity of governments which have justified barbarity for more than two years…

‘Those same governments…now constantly increase NATO military spending and are beginning to enlist the youngest to throw them into the jaws of disaster. Talk of war has become active preparation for war the length and breadth of Europe.’

It comes as trade union backing for the conference rolls in. Last weekend the NEU executive voted unanimously to back the conference, joining the RMT and the PCS. More national union support and local branches and regions will be supporting the event in the next few weeks.

The tickets for the conference went live today. With thousands of trade unionists and peace activists expected from across Europe, we expect tickets to go quickly. So get your tickets now.

If you haven’t already done so make sure your branch passes the resolution supporting the conference.
