In these days of increasing restriction of protest, it may interest you, and other members if you are part of an organisation, to see the film the ‘Battle of the Beanfield’.
It is the 40th anniversary of the police assault on peaceful festival goers to clear the free Stonehenge festival in 1985 and resulted in one of the largest mass arrests of British citizens ever.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions afterwards with the director Gareth Morris and author Andy Worthington who were present at the time.
Attached are a PDF and a JPEG of the flyer which can be used for distribution.
Best wishes,
Caroline,
Trustee Salisbury Eco-Hub Alliance CIO
